The Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) and the University of Bergen (UiB) are jointly hosting the digital SANORD Conference 7-10 September 2021 – Vitalizing partnerships: Moving forward to a sustainable future. GRIP will host the theme “Epistemic challenges, intellectual labour and South-North partnerships.”
The Southern African-Nordic Centre (SANORD) is a partnership of higher education institutions from all the Nordic countries and southern Africa. Designed to further academic cooperation between the member institutions, SANORD organises an annual conference bringing together scholars from the Southern African and Nordic regions. In this year’s SANORD conference GRIP will organise and lead the work on Epistemic Challenges.
The conference aims first and foremost to focus on strong and vital partnerships through the joint research, knowledge and concrete collaborations that has been formed through the variety of disciplines and institutions throughout the SANORD-network. The conference will be organised around six sub-themes:
-
-
Climate and climate impacts on humans.
- Higher education: Shaping the SDG curriculum.
- Health: Addressing complexity in health.
- Innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Epistemic challenges, intellectual labour and South-North partnerships.
-
Moving forward: Music and arts.
-
As well as hosting the sub-theme Epistemic challenges, GRIP is a part of the programme committee, and our affiliated researcher Maria Paula Meneses will be one of the keynote speakers.
