We are excited to announce that GRIP will be represented at the Law and Society Association (LSA) Annual Meeting 2024 in Denver, Colorado, USA. GRIP’s Wesley Maraire will present a paper titled “Beyond Systemic Obstacles: Innovative Approaches to Improving Access to Justice”.
Event Details
The session will discuss past, present, and future approaches to access to justice systems in Africa by assessing past attitudes and predicting future norms in the justice systems in African states.
The LSA Annual Meeting, taking place from June 6-9, 2024, is an entirely in-person meeting that has previously brought together more than 2,500 participants from over 60 countries across six continents.
The theme for the 2024 meeting is “Unsettling Territories: Tradition and Revolution in Law and Society”, marking the 60th anniversary of the Law and Society Association. This year’s conference will provide an opportunity to reflect on law’s roles in settling territories, both physical and ideological, and the potential to unsettle them.
We look forward to contributing to these important discussions!
